about me

THEN & NOW

"So how did you go from classroom teacher to business owner?!"

This is a question I am commonly asked.

It was never my plan to build a business. As a classroom teacher and educational support person for homeschooling families, I was quite content.

However, in 2012 the online learning platform was introduced via Elluminate and Big Blue Button within our school. This brand new technology allowed me to teach students across many counties. Our school families loved it!

"No more driving!"

"Credentialed instruction!"

"Teacher feedback!"

"One less thing to plan!"

"Fun and engaging!"

These were the things families were loving about what I was creating for them in the online space.

In 2014, a family that was moving out of state and therefore withdrawing from our school suggested I create an online business. She was interested in purchasing my writing program! I had never heard of such a thing, and curiosity grew.

Fast forward, I created WRITE ON! WEBB - my first online business! In 2019, I became a full-time entrepreneur and published author. It was a big year!

Now, multiple programs later, I continue to strive for excellence in academic writing instruction, serve hundreds of families, and delight in the success of my students.

Be sure to head over to our course options to see how we might turn your learner into a communication leader!

How do you know if your curriculum meets all of the writing standards for 3rd-8th grade?
